UZ Leuven Campus Gasthuisberg will provide 10 rooms for radionuclide therapy for therapies with radioactive substances Lu-177, Ac-225, Ra-223, and Ra-224, of which 4 rooms will be specifically equipped for iodine therapies (I-131 therapy). Each room generates approximately 150 l/day of wastewater mainly from showers, sinks, and toilets.
